Lincoln Day Dinner will be April 4 at 6:00 p.m. at South Stokes High School tickets $10.00 each can be bought at door.
Convention will be March 14 at the Government Center I think the time is 10:00 a.m. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. This time and date will be in the Stokes News.
Our Fund Raiser – $9,900 Money give-a-way – will be April 25. These tickets will sell for $100 each.
Check the Stokes News for info about your precinct meeting these will be held soon if you would like to be a delegate to the County Convention you can get your name on the list at the precinct meeting. If you are not sure about which precinct you are in please send another email or call 994-2430 and we will be glad to help you.
Our next monthly meeting is Feb 24 at the Government Center 7:00 p.m.

DANBURY – Stokes County commissioners did not authorize the purchase of land for a new elementary school or set aside money for school-capital projects at a meeting Monday night.
That means that the next step in determining the fate of Nancy Reynolds Elementary School and a new elementary school for the King area will be a joint meeting between the Stokes County commissioners and school-board members.

When they told 86-year-old Marion James they were taking him to the American Legion in King on Wednesday, October 15, he thought he was just going to some sort of meeting. He had no idea that he was going to have restored to him something that meant much to him—his medals for service in World War II.
